SUMMARY:

Currently, the Secretaria Municipal de Educação (SME) has proposed actions aimed at the socio-emotional education of children, prioritizing relational issues and the integral vision of the student, minimizing the dichotomous vision of psyche/soma, unfortunately still present in the school and medical fields.

In this context, it is essential to understand the relationships that exist between affectivity, cognition and learning, and how more welcoming spaces can influence these relationships. In view of this, this study aims to investigate the perceptions of teachers in the city of Rio de Janeiro regarding welcoming practices, establishing relationships between concepts of Education, Health and Psychomotricity. As theoretical supports, in addition to authors in Education, contemporary authors in the areas of Health, Psychomotricity and Psychoanalysis will be used.

The research will be an exploratory, descriptive field study with a qualitative approach. After the survey of the theoretical support and the composition of the educational resource, four Continuing Education meetings will be held with the GTEF teachers, aiming to equip the educators. In the first meeting, when the training begins, sociodemographic questionnaires and questionnaires on teaching practices will be applied. The four meetings will be held monthly, for four months, lasting three hours each. The agenda of the meetings is defined by the Gerência de Educação (GED) of the fourth CRE. Finally, a questionnaire on the understanding of the concepts worked on in the training and on the understanding of the importance of welcoming practices will be applied. Then, the possible relationships between what is indicated in the bibliography, the questionnaires applied, and the socio-affective aspects involved in the exercise of teaching practice will be evaluated.

It is expected that continuing education can contribute to the enhancement of welcoming practices in the educational context, more specifically from the perspective of the Physical Education teacher through theoretical and conceptual support that dialogues with the reality experienced in the school routine.
