RESUMO:

This dissertation analyzes the dynamics of the process of representation of interests of
the patronage rural gaucho in the Federation of the Agriculture of the State of Rio
Grande do Sul (FARSUL) among the years of 1988 and 2000. This way, it is reflected
on: 1) the structure and the forms of organization of Farsul, looking for to understand
that political dynamics are expressed starting from this resignation and of the changes
that happened there during the period in study; 2) the profile and the representativeness
of their mouthpieces, looking for to unmask which the geographical origin,
socioeconomic profile, school formation and involvement in the politics supporting of
these agents; and 3) the leaders' of Farsul vision on the representation process developed
in the entity, tends as it´s focus relationship with other entities of the section, with their
class opponents and with the State, the paper of their leaderships and the use in different
ways of political action, as the tactics direct mobilization of the rural patronage and
their participation in the supporting politics.
