RESUMO:

This work aims to analyze the process of social subjects constitution which build and defend agroecology in province of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and the strategies of the resistant and resilient of them. Minas stand out for the actuation of social movements involved in defense of family farming, traditional communities and agroecology, organizations and social movements who were associated to alternative agriculture movement in the 1980, and food security and urban agriculture movements in the 1990. Moreover, the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte is pioneer in experiences of urban agriculture and in the elaboration of food security public policies. However, the current scenario, both at the federal and state level, can be characterized as a period of public policies dismantling. The research is part of the field of political sociology and dialogues with the discourse theory proposed by Laclau & Mouffe, in order to analyze the trajectory of the agroecological movement in Minas Gerais and the strategies of resistance and resilience promoted by social subjects in the period between 2018 and 2021.
