SUMMARY:

Thismaster'sworkaims to study the changes and permanences that havebeenoccurring in the eatinghabits of agriculturalfamilies in the city of Teresópolis / RJ, in a context of rural environmenttransformation, due to the influence of urban-industrial culture, which in this case is the metropolis of Rio de Janeiro. To understand and seekhowto identify such transformations, the presence of pluriactivity and production for self-consumptionwillbeanalyzed as parameters. It isunderstood that such concepts, quite present in the socioeconomic reality in familyfarming in Teresópolis (CARNEIRO; ROCHA, 2009), maybeimportantfactors in promotingchange in habits, includingthoserelated to commensality. Therefore, theseparameters are fundamental to indicate the relationship of the studiedfamilieswith the food, providinginformation and explanationsbasedon the types of food consumed, its origin, frequency and history of use. The data that willenable such analyzeswillbeproduced, mainly through the application of a semi-structuredquestionnaire, with the studiedfamilies. The choice of thesefamilies as well as theirgeographicdistributionwithin the municipalitystudiedwillbedefined through anarticulationcarried out with the AgroecologicalAssociation of Teresópolis. It isexpected, at the end of thisresearch, to know the influences that urban-industrial culturehasbeencausing in the commensality of agriculturalfamilies, identifying, atleast in the chosencut, the mainchanges in habit, food diversity and the feeling of (in) security food for thesefamilies.
