SUMMARY:

The work seeks to understand the conditions for the creation of the Pastoral Land Commission (CPT) in Brazil, with an emphasis on the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the mid-1970s, the ways in which it operates and the conditions for its continuity. We will also seek to understand the changes that have taken place within the Catholic Church and its reflections on Brazil, which have enabled organizations like the CPT to be created and gain an important role with rural social movements. This work, based on documentary analysis, intends to understand the conditions of the creation of the Pastoral Land Commission in Rio de Janeiro, analyzing its performance from the mediation and training of male and female workers in an effort to transform them into actors and subjects politicians and their dispute in the political field in which it was inserted.
