SUMMARY:

The poet Solano Trindade, in addition to being an artist, was also an engaged activist. With an important political trajectory in the municipality of Duque de Caxias, Baixada Fluminense during the 1930s and 1940s. Based on a historical research, it proposes to analyze the political and social context of Baixada Fluminense, especially Duque de Caxias. As well as investigating the political trajectory of Solano Trindade, especially in this territory. For this, a bibliographical review will be used on the history of the Baixada, its political and social context, as well as the political trajectory of Solano Trindade.
