SUMMARY:

The research questions the extractive mining development model in Latin America and the different effects on women's bodies and territories. Despite being the most affected by the effects of the developmental logic, women also assume centrality in the struggles in defense of their territories-bodies-earth. The investigation seeks to understand how knowledge is constructed and disseminated in spaces of resistance of affected women, from the group Red Latinoamericana de Mujeres Defensoras de Derechos Sociales y Ambientales. The dissertation investigates the different impacts according to gender, the way affected women resist from their territories-bodies-earth and the methods of articulation of collectives, their argumentative constructions and pedagogies.
