SUMMARY:
The study looks at the career of the evangelical pastor Silas Malafaia and his influence on evangelicals’ adherence to reactionary and anti-leftist ideas and attitudes. We will treat the pastor as a globalising figure in this process, based on his influence in the public sphere and his communication. This material will cover the pastor’s journey into national politics and the most important episodes of his character as he defends his ideals and instructs his followers. It also highlights the factors of mediatised society that enhance the potential of their communication and the unique aspects of their communication strategy.
