RESUMO:

ABSTRACT: Based on constructivists theories about a national theme, we will analyze the notion that a national groups — much like the nations in which this study is based on — is not an established and universal unit. Different individuals can construct the sense of belonging to a national group from different elements, which may or may not have a hierarchy between them.

The goal of this research is to observe how Hitler shaped his vision of a nacional group (the Volksdeutschen, or "ethnic german”), and the place they had in his political agenda. Furthermore, we wish to understand how the author defined this group of people, and if such definition — based on an anti-Semitic national project defended by Hitler in 1925 — was kept the same. We’re also interested in studying the projects he planned for this part of the population.

For that reason, we’ll search for nuances in his speeches from 1925 to 1945 and we’ll also question ourselves if the Volksdeutschen have always been seen the same way, using the same classifiable elements and if whether or not there was a hierarchy within these elements.
