Visigoth Kingdom - Medieval antisemitism - imaginary Judaism
This following thesis aims to analyze the antisemitc discourses by the Bishops Isidore of Seville (560-636) and Braulio of Zaragoza (590-651) against the Jewish community of the Visigoth Kingdom of Toledo, VII century. In addition to our research, we will investigate the influence of these two bishops on canonical and civil law of the period. Therefore, we will have the tools to study how the imaginary Judaism was built in this culture so agressive against the jews and converts.
