RESUMO:

Founded in the field of feverish relations between history and literature, this research investigates the representations built by Ariano Suassuna around himself as author and character of his own speech, taking as a problem source the novels written by him - specifically Romance d’A Pedra do Reino, O Rei Degolado and Romance de Dom Pantero. Better known for his drama, Suassuna presents in his novel approximations and distances that are particularly interesting in relation to the whole of his work. Moreover, his intellectual career is marked by controversies and by certain discursive authority on some themes and issues. Thus, in order to problematize these limits, we carried out a deconstructive reading of his authorship and his discourse in order to uncover the relations of power from which these representations were articulated. With the aim of supporting this approach, we have dialogued with the theoretical-methodological collaborations of Jacques Derrida (2002), Paul Ricoeur (1994, 1997), Michel Foucault (2009), Roland Barthes ( 2004), Maurice Blanchot Certeau (1987, 2004) (1994, 1995, 2002), Frank Ankersmit (2012), Michael Pollack (1994), and others. Finally, reflecting on the field of intellectual history, approaching it from literature, means taking it as a historical problem, that is, as a discursive space in which potentially consumable representations are made available to appropriation
