The phantom of the future: technological interfaces in japanese animation Ghost In The Shell (1995)
anime; cyberpunk; technology
This work proposes to think about how technology representations in contemporary Japan take place, through animated media in a cinema format, taking into account that producers are intellectuals in the sense of inserting themselves into the debate through art. In this case, the film not only represents, but also proposes, assembles and presents things about temporality, memory, identity and the concept of humanism, through animated cyberpunk fiction. The hypothesis that the project then proposes is to understand the animated film Ghost In The Shell (1995) as a producer of virtualizations, that is, the opening of new possibilities, of hybrid creations that take into account a notion of technological future based on its critical construction, but also of an active and optimistic appropriation.
