RESUMO:

Our study proposal is to delineate how, where and through whom Nietzsche's philosophy acquired an irrationalist and essentially anti-enlightenment face. Beside this, we will present some authors and what they have argued to challenge such a view. The central aim of the research is to demarcate which are the specific questions of Nietzsche's criticism of the Enlightenment of the eighteenth century, as well as what are the points that mark his filiation to an Illuminist tradition as a philosophical attitude of emancipation of man, because it`s by following these considerations that we propose a revision around the place, already put and crystallized, that this philosopher occupies in the contemporary historiography, that is the patron of the postmodern theories in history. We will approach his closeness to Voltaire and his relation to the periods of history which he has chosen to be the greatest of man, where the Lights prevailed, placing them in a historical line of the Enlightenment, and into which he himself subscribes.
