ESSAS OBRAS QUE SOVAJAS SON REGOXOS Y MIGAJAS QUE ESCUELAN DEL ÇURRON: THEATER, POWER, AND AFFECTIVE TIES IN CASTILE (1492-1509)
Theater, Power and emotions
Study about symbolic production in Castilian dramaturgy between the late 15th century and the early e 16th century, highlighting the narratives that address the conflictual context between the Catholic kings (1479-1504) and Charles VIII (c. 1470 - c. 1498), king of France, for portions of the Italian Peninsula. It analyzes how the power craftsmen linked to noble entertainment produced and broadcast theatrical spectacles in which affective ties, from the topic of love, gain political contours. We believe that relational and behavioral models staged in the midst of a set of ceremonies that are inscribed in the political spaces of the kingdom served for the integration, legitimation and consolidation of the royal power and the Castilian aristocracy. The main sources are the dramaturgical works Égloga representada en la noche postrera de Carnal and Representación sobre el poder Amor by Juan de Encina (c.1469?- c.1530?) and Égloga byFrancisco de Madrid (c.? - c?).
