: History teacher training; Life histories; Trajectory.
The present research aims to understand, from the trajectories of life and teacher training of former teachers of the History degree course of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro - Nova Iguaçu Campus, how their training and arrival to their professional life happened. Through letters written to an aspiring history teacher, an imaginary and unknown student, those researched will be able to talk about how their entire formative journey took them up to the present day. The letters, portraying three moments in the trajectories of each one, will point out the specificities of each professional phase of these teachers, possibly highlighting the weak points, the gaps felt since their training, and also, the positive aspects of this training. The theoretical support of this research counts on authors such as Nóvoa and Huberman, who bring to the discussion contributions about the studies on Teachers' Life Histories and Teachers' Professional Life Cycle, Delory-Momberger with the theoretical discussion about Self-Narratives, Giznburg with the indicative paradigm and contributions from Bakthin's philosophy of language. In this way, the research will seek to point out new paths and discussions for the vast field that is the formation of History teachers.
