SUMMARY:
Capitalism in the neoliberal aspect has been establishing itself as the way of being of the global production system since the crisis of the 1970s, which we understand to be of a structural nature, that is, it is a crisis that, itself, is at the backbone of this system. . From the understanding that capitalism in central countries (the element that generated the crises) can no longer externalize it indiscriminately without imposing increasingly radical sacrifices on society as a whole, it became necessary to build a new economic paradigm – increasingly more minimal to social rights and maximum to the valorization of value – but also a new ethical paradigm, which incorporates the construction of subjects psychophysically adapted to accommodate the impacts of so many depletion of historically conquered rights and guarantees. It is in this context that formal education composes a set of strategies in terms of class domination that both forge the neoliberal subject we are dealing with, but which also, in itself, reveals itself as a vast market for the flow of all types of merchandise capable of to be sold as an “educational solution”. As a way of organizing their demands so that they flexibly accommodate each phenomenal change in status in the capitalist mode of production, various institutions of central capitalism systematize documents with a general orientation that are translated and disseminated in a manner coherent with each reality. local. Thus, we understand that the Roberto Marinho Foundation has been acting since the 2008 crisis as a fundamental element in an ecosystem of institutions aimed at accommodating to the Brazilian reality the most important guidelines of the great collective intellectuals of the international big bourgeoisie, most notably in establishing partnerships with State bodies, whether with the dissemination of educational goods.
The objective of this work is, starting from a historical contextualization of the development of capitalism since the 1970s, to understand how the Roberto Marinho Foundation is located and operates in this network of disseminating institutions, as well as to construct important analysis categories to interpret this work. This is basic research, of a qualitative nature and as a methodology, we will start from the historical-dialectic materialism proposed by the philosopher Karl Marx to understand how production relations and life in society are related. We will also use the concept of the Extended State derived from the writings of the Sardinian philosopher Antonio Gramsci to understand the superstructural face of the bourgeois State as a unity between civil society and political society, each face of which is associated with a specific task, the first with hegemony and the second , coercion. To study the production of our empirical object, we will use primary sources extracted from its printed materials and website, as well as secondary sources, such as dissertations and theses, public documents, official diary, etc.
