SUMMARY:

Teacher training in Brazil is structured in Higher Education in a systematic and dynamic way, aiming to “learn to teach” beyond the time allocated only to learning theoretical content and teaching techniques. Through initial training, future teachers will be able to know, experience and experience the nuances of teaching protagonism, articulating Theory and Practice (T-P) in spaces aimed at curricular pedagogical practices. The pedagogical practices (articulated with theory) under investigation in this research represent the students' approach to social and work reality. It is possible to observe, therefore, the emergence of a challenging problem in the field of initial training: understanding the place of curricular pedagogical practices in the degree in Physical Education and how they are operationalized in curricula as articulating spaces for T-P. In view of the above research project, it is proposed to understand how the spaces dedicated to pedagogical practices are constituted in the training curricula of Physical Education teachers. The objective of the research is to characterize the spaces and strategies for attributing pedagogical practices in the training curricula of Physical Education teachers in the southeast region of the country, analyzing, based on teacher trainers and students, the conceptions that justify and consolidate their articulation with the theoretical knowledge that underpins educational action and the quality of professional training. This is qualitative research characterized as exploratory and descriptive. The research models, regarding the technical procedures adopted, will be those of documentary and field research. Considering the object of study, documents from four public Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that promote face-to-face teaching and located in the southeastern region of Brazil will be analyzed. Normative documents will be analyzed and semi-structured interviews will be carried out with managers and teachers who make up the NDE, as well as undergraduate students at the end of the course. The data collected will be subject to data triangulation. The analysis of research data will be through content analysis.
