Capitalist Economy, Education in the Countryside, Economic Modernization, Social Organizations and Education.
This thesis project seeks to investigate the relationships between Rural Social Movements, Agribusiness, and Rural Education in the municipality of Rio Verde, Goiás. The study aims to diagnose the effects that social movements suffer in their access to this type of education in the face of the expansion of agribusiness. The aim is to explore the probable effects that this hegemonic economic model in the municipality produces in rural communities, mainly those related to the closure of schools, precarious infrastructure, deficient school transportation, teacher training and school matrices that do not meet the needs of the communities, as well as the redefinition of educational spaces as a place for the development of citizenship and an instrument for reducing social, economic and social inequalities. To achieve these objectives, the aim is to conduct ethnographic research in a settlement and the school that serves its families.
