Maternity profane. A DIALOGUE FROM DESCOLONIAL FEMINISM
Maternity, gender coloniality, decolonial feminism, decolonial education
The main objective of this paper is a debate that starts from the theme of motherhood and its social constructions. The proposal that I present is not intended to reflect on maternity in a broad and generalized manner, but rather to offer a cut to a specific form of this, which is, in this case, the one exercised unilaterally by the woman and currently called as single motherhood. This proposition is due to the intention that I have to construct here a concept of maternity that is linked to the motherhood solo, in opposition to the idea of maternity that has been practicing throughout the history of the bourgeois family and the woman in this context, from the imaginary modern-colonial style.
