SUMMARY:

This dissertation constitutes a proposal for reflection on how Oxunismo, a theory by Oyèrónkẹ́ Oyěwùmí (cited in ROCHA, 2023), can emerge as an epistemological and methodological matrix for an anti-racist education. The research seeks to articulate the figure of Oxum, the lady of rivers, fertility, and motherhood, as a guiding principle, recovering historically silenced knowledge, proposing a pedagogy of welcome, enchantment, and healing for Black children affected by racism and social exclusion. Under the paradigm of counter-colonization by Antônio Bispo dos Santos (2015, 2023), this study also dialogues with the Philosophy of the Hummingbird by Eduardo Oliveira (2021) and immerses itself, through Irê Ayó: an Afro-Brazilian epistemology (2019), in the pedagogical and methodological practices of Vanda Machado. The research methodologically bases itself on the approach of the Cartography of Deleuze and Guattari (cited in Kastrup and Passos, 2009), seen as a path of creation, movement, and territory, and proposes the exploration. of the idea of 'cartography of rivers,' emphasizing the importance of counter-colonial research methods. Additionally, it connects with the Methodology of ODUS, created by Eduardo Oliveira, systematized and developed by Adilbênia Machado (2014, 2019, 2019a), which emphasizes the process of constructing the researcher's ideas from sensitivity and the creation of new paths in the philosophical construction of research. It also presents itself as a qualitative investigation that does not stray from the author's biographical trajectory, a black woman, mother, and from the periphery, whose experiences in public schools and pedagogical practices inspire the research. The work proposes a discussion of an oxunista school, conceived as a fluid, affective, and inclusive space, capable of nurturing bonds, welcoming insurgent knowledge, and reconfiguring power and belonging relationships, reaffirming the centrality of care, reciprocity, and interdependence in an enchanted education.
