Experiences of the past, discussions of the present: The Instituto de Educação Governador Roberto Silveira as a privileged space for the training of teachers in Baixada Fluminense (1962-2012).
O Instituto de Educação Governador Roberto Silveira; Teacher Training; History of School Institutions in Baixada Fluminense, 1962 to 2012.
Knowing what Baixada is like is the main trigger to understand the reasons for such a research to be carried out. It is born in tensions, investigations and mainly in questions raised within the Laboratório de História da Educação Latino-Americana (LHELA), of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. A study at the time, on the main school institutions in Baixada, revealed that there was no historiography built or in-depth research on this object to be worked on: the Instituto de Educação Governador Roberto da Silveira. Is this field that arises a question: how is it that an institution, with more than 50 years, in the heart of Baixada Fluminense, does not have a constructed historiography? How do you not have a more in-depth work on a school that was born in one of the two main municipalities of the State of Rio de Janeiro, that the Duke of Caxias, who has a very rich history of struggle, that starts from the social field, the political field, but does not know anything about the pedagogical aspect that is practiced? Literally, these and other questions, which are expected to be answered throughout the work, are the reason for writing a topic on such a topic.
