SUMMARY:

The present work intends to investigate the process of training of the teachers of the schools of the municipality of Nova Iguaçu, considering the impact produced by the continuous training offered by UFRRJ, through the production of textbooks in the school units of the municipality. For this, it points out the legal provisions that regulate the education of the field in Brazil, so that in fact one has an education of the field and in the field with quality. There are few studies on this type of teaching, so the importance of discussing this topic from the legislative perspective. In view of this, the need arose to address issues related to the historical context of rural education in Brazil and its relationship with social movements, in order to understand the social context of rural education in the Municipality of Nova Iguaçu. Field education throughout history has been left in the background by government representatives, and as far as legal aspects are concerned, have been won through the struggle of social movements and organized civil society who wanted the right to education was also guaranteed to the peasant population and that above all it was an education focused on the interests and needs of this population, valuing culture and identity in an inclusive and autonomous way
