ENVIRONMENTAL RACISM AND EARTH KNOWLEDGE: COPING IN THE GUARANI TERRITORY
Education, Knowledge of the Earth, Environmental Issues, Indigenous Peoples
We live in a time of great wear and tear mainly on human relations, in this connection it is necessary to emphasize the usefulness of directing a transformation of perception, whose transformation of mentality reflects in the modification of current forms of conduct. It is a contradictory process where global capitalism and the groups that resist it are confronted, the homogenized and differentiating logics, the Americanization of popular culture and vernacular cultures, hegemonic and counter-hegemonic globalization. (SANTOS, 2008, p.144). This, on an expanded scale, leads to improving previously established horizons. Therefore, it is essential to break with the boundaries imposed so that we can dialogue with different forms of thoughts and other worldviews. This thesis will aim to discuss in affinity with the rights of traditional peoples and the political and social relevance of Guarani resistance, in the confrontation for the conquest and maintenance of their territoriality and their traditions, which are experienced through orality, in order that the framework of the processes of rationalization modernity imposed by environmental power relations is changed.
