The coreferentiality process in the final years of elementary school: a pedagogical proposition through textual genres related to public prevention and awareness campaigns (colored ties)

The aim of this study is to develop research on textual referencing, more specifically on coreferentiality (direct anaphora) and recategorization processes. The theme has its studies developed by research based in the field of Textual Linguistics. The purpose of the research is to understand referencing as a discursive activity and also as a driver of proficiency in reading and writing. This concept goes far beyond textual cohesion, since this, as currently proposed in textbooks, is linked to referents based on “linguistic arrows”. Therefore, a more discursive study of the resumption of noun phrases in texts is proposed, focusing on genres and textual types in a communicative context of public prevention and awareness campaigns. The following themes were chosen: Blue April (TEA), Yellow May (Traffic), Green June (Environment) / Red June (Blood Donation), Yellow July (Viral Hepatitis), Lilac August (Domestic Violence) , Yellow September (Suicide), Pink October (Women's Health), Blue November (Men's Health) and Red December (AIDS/HIV). The pedagogical intervention will take place through an activity notebook with didactic proposals for teachers to apply in classes of the 8th grade of elementary school. The specific objectives are: a) To describe the methodological path to carry out the improvement of reading and writing through textual genres linked to public campaigns; b) Identify in the texts the direct anaphora as a process of textual progression that uses the categorization and recategorization of referents; c) Recognize noun phrases and their textual referents such as pronouns, ellipses, numerals, adverbs, synonymy, hyperonymy, definite and undefined nominal expressions; d) Promote the understanding of the referencing object through questions similar to external assessments guided by official documents such as PCN's, Saeb Test Descriptors and BNCC; e) Understanding the process of co-referentiality not only as a resumption of referents, but also as a mechanism of textual progression and discursive activity based on genres associated with the themes of prevention and awareness campaigns proposed by the public administration and f) Improving teaching practice based on the experience as a teacher-researcher in the Professional Master's Course in Letters – ProfLetras.
