SUMMARY:

This research project will focus on the development of a Learning Object in the form of a digital game to promote the development of orthographic writing in Brazilian Portuguese (BP), specifically with regard to the phenomenon of monophthong reproduction in writing, using the Parlenda genre. As specific objectives, we intend to review the literature on the phenomenon of monophthongization from the perspective of variationism, phonetics/phonology and language acquisition studies; analyze the teaching of spelling proposed in the guiding documents of Basic Education (BNCC and PCN); identify which variables are related to the phenomenon in focus in the research; and understand the relevance of learning objects and gamification in the face-to-face teaching modality. The research is exploratory in nature (Gil, 2008), with a bibliographical survey of the topic and the presentation of an intervention proposal to achieve the outlined objective. The project will be developed from a theoretical-reflective perspective, in which reflection on the teacher's actions in the classroom should be the starting point for change (Bortoni-Ricardo, 2008), in an active learning methodology (Gomes, 2022), which places the student at the center of the learning process, making them an active and engaged participant in the construction of knowledge, in a socio-interactionist conception of the process (Vygotsky, 1991). We hope to present a playful, motivating and efficient proposal for learning the orthographic norm of BP, with regard to the phenomenon studied.
