SUMMARY:

This research proposes the study of the propaganda textual genre through manipulative linguistic games, with the intention of expanding the linguistic competence of learners based on the genre and developing communicative capacity using a methodological approach to active linguistics. The students' involvement with the propaganda textual genre leads to the analysis of the influence of the imperative and the use of the injunctive typology, present in the rules of games and in various social contexts. The didactic proposal presented is based on the application of games, to materialize the active linguistic approach and implement learning about the genre, strengthening reading, writing and speaking skills. As a pillar, the research is based on Pilati (2017), Kishimoto (2011), Coneglian and Oliveira (2019), Marcuschi (2008), Travaglia (2006) and other authors who contribute to the understanding of the research. The methodology applied proposes the presentation of the propaganda textual genre, the imperative mood and the injunctive typology through a didactic sequence, analysis of multimodal advertisements, application of manipulable linguistic games for students in the seventh year of Elementary School. Teaching the propaganda textual genre through manipulative linguistic games is based on the hypothesis that the structure of the genre is not so easily assimilated by students, requiring active methodological study, fixation, analysis and practice, so that it is internalized and put into use appropriately and consciously, respecting the characteristics of the genre and its functionality. In this way, reading the genre becomes more efficient and your writing becomes more critical and conscious, as well as the classes more attractive. Students take the lead in their learning, improve interaction with the class, strengthen their knowledge of the uses of the language, expand their communicative capacity and mastery of the language.
