SUMMARY:
This dissertation research was born from the desire to contribute to the construction of an anti-racist education project in the second elementary school segment. Methodologically, the research is qualitative, interpretative and collaborative in nature, focusing on a critical and interactional literacy event, in particular, a reading practice with questions at inferential and reflective levels (APPLEGATE, QUINN and APPLEGATE, 2002) to build understandings about “ racism”, considering the experiences of the participants, faced with social conflicts of this nature. The data analysis aims to contribute to the construction of the fight against racism based on understanding the participants' race awareness, the relationship between the reports narrated according to proposed reading questions. As a contribution, this research is based on the fighting relationships that need to be fought, combat relationships that the school must always be ready to fight. And win.
