SUMMARY:

This research project aims to investigate the importance of using sequential textual connectors in the construction of argumentative paragraphs by third-year high school students. Grounded in theoretical studies by authors such as Koch (1998, 2006, 2011) and Depubel (2010), the study seeks to analyze the presence and usage of these connectors in students' written productions in order to identify recurrent weaknesses and propose pedagogical strategies that promote sequential cohesion. Specifically, the project intends to develop students’ understanding of the role of connectors that express cause-and-effect relationships in textual progression, enhance argumentative organization, and expand their linguistic repertoire. The methodological approach adopted is action research, based on Tripp’s (2005) framework, which supports a reflective and transformative process through the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational interventions.
