RESUMO:

This work is being developed through the retextualization of comics to tales, whose objective is to broaden the literacy of students who are in a situation of school lag and who are participants in a project called EJAd (Youth and Adolescent Education) , held at the Panaro Figueira Municipal School, in Seropédica. Such students demonstrate difficulties in assimilating the contents of several disciplines, including Portuguese Language. Thus, the methodology used will be that of action research, which aims at a certain intervention within a problematic occurred in the classroom, coupled with a theoretical foundation on the process that will be carried out in the school environment. The comics used to be retextualized will be those of Turma da Mônica, at the request of the students themselves, since they are narratives that present a more colloquial language, besides a simple story and easy to understand for the students. The process of retextualization will be carried out from the model of textual-discursive operations proposed by Luiz Antônio Marcuschi. It is hoped that, at the end of the work, the students, subjects of this research, will be able to re-contextualize comic books in tales and, the main one, to extend their literacy from the retextualization.
