Spirituality, optimism and self-esteem in the context of the formation of the combat officer of the Brazilian Army

The present study is inserted in the context of Positive Psychology, applied to the military context. The variables spirituality, optimism and self-esteem are considered, and it is verified how this is influenced by the first two. The study is part of a research agenda that aims to investigate health-promoting factors in well-being in the context of training the combat officer of the Brazilian Army, at the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras - AMAN, located in the city of Resende - RJ . Cadets belonging to the 4 years of training will participate in the study, from all existing specialties: Cavalry, Infantry, Artillery, War Material, Engineering, Communications and Quartermaster. The objective of the study is to verify if spirituality and optimism influence self-esteem.
