SELF-EFFICACY IN MOTHERS OF PEOPLE WITH DISORDER AUTISM SPECTRUM (ASD)

Self-efficacy, idealized by Bandura, is defined as a subjective phenomenon of judgment of one's own ability to 

organize, plan and execute actions to achieve goals. Therefore, there is evidence of an association between low

 sense of self-efficacy and the presence of some psychiatric disorders. Therefore, the study aims to investigate  

self-efficacy in mothers of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Study 

1 will seek to analyze self-efficacy and stress symptoms through a questionnaire, anxiety and depression in 

mothers of atypical autistic individuals. Study 2 will carry out a intervention proposal, through a psychoeducation

group,  with mothers, in which the (a) child has received a diagnosis of ASD within 12 months of participating 

in the study 1. This group will aim to promote welcoming, information and stimulation the sense of self-efficacy. 

At the end of the group, a questionnaire will be carried out to identify whether or not the intervention proposal

 influenced the sense of personal efficacy. Finally, a description of the sample, instruments, procedures and data

 analysis methodology.
