SUMMARY:

Based on conceptions that intersect the studies of childhood with the history of the school institution, this project proposes the use of a participatory methodology in sharing circles to collect narratives provided by children regarding their experiences and perceptions of school. Anchored in psychoanalytic references, the aim is to analyze these accounts through the lens of the French school’s discourse analysis. The relevance of this research is mainly justified by the gap identified in the field of studies of the childhood-school axis that utilize information provided by children, as highlighted by critical notions in social sciences. This work aims to yield results that contribute to the discussion on key narratives encompassing the epistemic field of childhood.
