RESUMO:
Animal Assisted Interventions (IAA) are all intentionally-directed human-animal interactions. In general, IAA can be divided into: animal-assisted activities (AAA), animal-assisted education (EAA) and animal-assisted therapy (TAA), the former being primarily related to entertainment and recreation, the second to promote learning, from psychomotor and psychosocial development, and the third to the development and improvement of social, physical, emotional and cognitive aspects. There are many published works on IAA in the field of psychology, but few undertake an in-depth theoretical analysis of interactions. The aim of this paper is to conduct bibliographic research identifying works that evaluate the human-animal interactions in IAA, from the perspective of phenomenological psychology. A systematic review will be made, based on the Capes Periodical and Google Scholar, having as descriptors the words: animal-assisted intervention, phenomenology, psychology. In pilot research, so far only six papers on the subject were found published in Brazil, five of them linked to prof. Jean Marlos, from the Federal University of Maranhão. In the next steps, the works found will be evaluated and discussed in depth. Then the research will extend to works published in other countries in the English language. It is expected with the present work a better understanding of the psychotherapeutic process in the IAA based on the theory of psychology, contributing to the development of this process.
