RESUMO:
The present study aims to comprehend, broadly, the demands of school complaints during the literacy period. School complaint is understood, in the national literature on School and Educational Psychology, as the demands regarding school difficulties, which are largely formulated by families, teachers and the pedagogical body of the schools. The complaint during the literacy period is the most frequent among those presented as a reason for referring children and adolescents to psychology. We understand literacy in this work as a stage of the schooling process in which the acquisition of the writing code, knowledge and reading and writing skills is achieved. We will approach metalinguistic skills as important skills with a fundamental role in literacy. Thus, our objectives are: to discuss the modes of intervention of Psychology in the face of learning difficulties in reading and writing; describe an intervention model in cases of reading and writing difficulties that promotes a contribution to this process by Psychology; understand how metalinguistic skills can favor the process of reading and writing acquisition. For this, we will seek, from a field work, based on semi-structured interviews, to understand what are the possible interventions in this teaching-learning process.
